Tennis. Love. Action.

This year’s event, on September 21-23, 2012, brings an international flavour with the introduction of a brand new format that will provide action filled tennis from world class men and women professionals competing in the World Cup Team Challenge: USA vs The World.  The challenge will feature men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed headed by the USA’s  World No. 1 Men’s Doubles Team, Mike and Bob Bryan, TV Commentator Justin Gimelstob, Wimbledon Champions Lindsay Davenport, Gigi Fernandez and Corina Morariu.  On the opposite side of the world are No. 1 South African player Wayne Ferriera, Bahamas doubles specialist Mark Knowles, former No. 1 doubles player from Australia, Rennae Stubbs, Wimbledon Champion from Spain Conchita Martinez and WTA Tour player Liga Dekmeijere of Latvia. The ever-popular Murphy Jensen will captain the USA team.

Scoring will use the World TeamTennis format with short sets and No-Add scoring with a Super Tie-break should it be necessary.

The event is hosted and co-produced by the Harbor Point Charitable Foundation and Hall of Famer, Rosie Casals, and her company Sportswoman, Inc.
